Super Happy Comments Funtime!

hypnotogeometry1Hey Thad, where are the regularly scheduled rants that we’ve become accustomed to over the last year or so? Well, I decided several weeks back I should probably actually put the finishing touches on the book I wrote that’s coming out next month (if all goes right) and that maybe I should wrap that up before I spend more of my time ranting at y’all. They’ll be back here soon, and you know what else? Video rants all Lee Camp style. As far as I can tell, the problem with my writing is that no one reading it can tell how ridiculously good looking I am (riiiiight). I mean, how are gay dudes supposed to masturbate to an internet article? How are women supposed to make weird scrapbooks with hearts around me while jotting down the names of our future children? This needs to be resolved and so I’m buying a decent video camera here soon to do just that.… Read the rest

Dark Mirror of Magick – An Absolute Must See

One of the coolest things I’ve stumbled upon while digging for found footage for my Occult film/music project Chapel Supremesus has been the instructional movies of Carroll “Poke” Runyan. Strangely, I thought I had actually seen all of them until one of my practicing magickian Facebook peeps (friend me) turned me on to this, which is by far the most intriguing of the lot. This is an absolute must watch for a couple of reasons. First off, as mentioned in the past, being from the Chaos Magick school of Occult weirdness, I’ve never actually tried any of the traditional invocation/evocation techniques that are being illuminated here. My methods are vastly different, but ultimately involve a rather similar process of inducing an open minded state of consciousness where “they” can communicate with me. The primary difference is that I invent my own methodology as I go and these guys are using a quite calculated process they’ve resurrected from antiquity.… Read the rest

Protest with Witchcraft!

alienlightbuddhasigil1Ahhh, the manner by which synchronicity manifests itself into your life when you intentionally tread the path of a sorcerer. You toss around the idea of writing a think piece called “Protest with Witchcraft” for over a year, then finally decide to tackle it and just after you do an article appears on the site you’re writing it for about how street protests don’t work anymore. Then the day before you toss it up another appears about a new wave of witch hunters rising around the world. Of course, I write about this sychromystic high strangeness all the time on Facebook (friend me), and I haven’t even gotten to the oddest part yet. A week or so earlier I out of nowhere decided I needed to re-read A Separate Reality by Carlos Casteneda. I do have the cover tattooed on my right bicep, so I figured I might re-familiarize with what exactly that implies in a magickal context.… Read the rest

A Chaos Magick Film: “visitors (SUPERVISITORS)” (NSFW)

Like Chapel Supremesus on Facebook for updates on future shows/films/etc.

Artist’s Statement:

Initially conceived as merely “cool shit for stoned people to look at while we play live” visitors (SUPERVISITORS) ended up becoming a legit 23 minute Occult film unto itself. It just sort of happened that way. Largely created using a technologically updated version of the cut up technique popularized by Brion Gysin and William S. Burroughs back in the day, the movie takes various footage depicting mystical states of consciousness from the 70’s and re-assembles them with a lot of the sigil collage art I’ve been honing in recent years. For those in the know, it has long been theorized that using the cut up technique potentially allows the artist to tap into what’s often referred to as “the third mind” or to see what the art “is really saying” and that’s what’s so odd, transcendent, and baffling about the picture.… Read the rest

Why Are We Making Robots When We Could Be Breeding Super People?

sacredsigilservitor1The thing about magick that’s difficult to explain to the uninitiated is that you absolutely have to do it to understand it entirely. You can’t just read about it in books. Supposedly “coincidental” events start piling on top of each other in such a way that you can’t deny the interconnected nature of consciousness anymore. The ideas of dead matter and cold randomness start to appear increasingly primitive. You try to buy into them because that’s what you’ve been taught since birth but the hive mind keeps throwing wrenches into that whole design from the inside. Eventually you learn to ride the strange and start looking for the plot and how you fit into it rather than denying that there is one a priori. I try to write about this connective sensation as much as I can (more on Facebook than here, friend me), and last weekend was one of those odd examples of the universe tapping into my private thoughtspace and playing tag.… Read the rest

The Surveillance State is Metaphorical: They’re Already in Your Head

sacredsigilsservitor3Now, I’m not saying I’m a supporter of the surveillance state or anything like that. It’s hyper creepy as all get out. As a matter of fact, before I even get into that level of sketch I’ll first focus on the bright side. One thing that no one seems to philosophically contemplate nearly enough these days is how quickly we’ve plunged ourselves into increasingly fantasy centric lifestyles. Why is that? Our lives are cripplingly boring and we’re forced into these alternate dimensions of thought as a reflex. I mean, how many of us actually find any sort of fulfillment in our supposed “careers”. Like 2% optimistically? I think I’m being generous with that. I mean, increasingly intertwined mind rape corporations are currently taking home record profits, and who the fuck grows up thinking, “I want to work at the Pizza Hut corporate office one day.” Fucking no one….ever…and yet, uber boring places like that are where a crap ton of us end up, gladly, because the alternative is further selling our lives down the rabbit hole of higher education, which may or may not make things better for us and costs an ass ton of money.… Read the rest

The Spiritual Side of Alchemy

Screen Shot 2014-01-29 at 10.00.52 AMAhhh synchronicity. So while digging for collage footage for a new Occult movie I’m making last week (first one will come out at the end of February), I stumbled on this video about the spiritual component to Alchemy and ended up watching the whole thing when I was supposed to be culling neato video clips.

I’m not going to lie, it’s not the greatest movie in the universe. I mean really, they should have just hired another narrator and it would have been fine. Not everyone is great at voice acting but it does get better as the thing moves on. Despite the lackluster narration though, it is in fact good enough that I still recommend it. What’s funny is that I wasn’t actually going to post this, but then in the next week Disinfo ran two separate stories regarding alchemy, neither one of which mentioned the spiritual component of the practice.… Read the rest

The Dumbass Haunted World – When Propaganda Masquerades as Science

sacredsigilservitorBecause last week’s reblogging of Robert Anton Wilson’s rather harsh critique of Carl Sagan resulted in a rather spirited dialogue on my Facebook page (friend me), I did something weird. I decided to take some of my fans advice and actually read a bit of Sagan’s work, which I admitted in the post that I’d never truly done. Sadly, since I spend half my life working a soulless day job, I don’t normally have much time to commit to researching things I intentionally avoid for impromptu rants. But I quite quickly found a PDF of the Demon Haunted World, which is the book several people over the years have told me I absolutely need to read, because it WILL convince me I’m not psychic or something. Ugh, I don’t know what to tell you. I got through eight chapters or so and found myself utterly perplexed and a bit disgusted.… Read the rest

Robert Anton Wilson Trashes the Unbridled Arrogance of Carl Sagan

305px-Carl_Sagan_Viking

NASA (PD)

You know, I’ve never been a Carl Sagan fan. Not that I’ve read a whole lot of his stuff outside of some opinion pieces that have shown up online after his death. I guess the reason I’ve never been a fan is because I’ve frequently run into people arguing against the legitimacy of neo-spiritual/Occult concepts who reference his book The Demon Haunted Universe, which I’ve admittedly never read. You know why I haven’t read it? Because I have no idea why I would read a book about spirituality or altered states of consciousness written by an astronomer. Not really his area of expertise now, is it? What I didn’t know until just recently is that Robert Anton Wilson not only thought he was an arrogant douchebag, but wrote an entire chapter about that very topic in his book Cosmic Trigger III: My Life After Death:

“If anybody possesses all the qualifications necessary for a fully ordained Expert in America today, Carl Sagan certainly has that dizzying eminence.… Read the rest

Psychoactive Soundscapes: The Trippiest Albums of 2013

sacredsigilservitor2A lot of the problem with viewing the universe as being comprised of matter comes with the idea that it’s devoid of conscious experience somehow. More and more, little by little, we’re starting to wake up to the insane limitations of this philosophy. Renders people humorless if you ask me. Nothing adds up, which creates profound existential desperation resonating throughout the collective psi-grid of humanity. There is no explanation for why anything happens, so we instead focus on how things go down in obsessive detail. Not to knock this approach, as it creates order by combining with the mystical chaos of internal infinity. Too much mystic psychic sizzle and you’ll get torn to shreds, but when you look at only shared perceptual experience, you’re editing out the vast majority of reality. It’s all dark matter through those eyes. Endless blacked out pages on a declassified UFO report.

What I’ve found is that by shifting models of reality interpretation just slightly from conceiving the world as being made of matter to one comprised from conscious experience, coherent macro concepts of conjoined narratives learning lessons throughout cycles of shifting lifetimes starts to take shape (which I talk about all the time on Facebook; friend me).… Read the rest
