War criminals throwing stones…

“I have been a member of this committee for years and I have never seen anything as disgraceful and outrageous and despicable…”

You know that feeling you get when someone says something that is just so laughably absurd that you feel yourself stuck in this mental and emotional limbo between anger and hysterical laughter, typically settling somewhere in between; a murderous chuckle, perhaps.

Well, that’s the place my mind settled today at about 9:30am EST when McCain said those words about a group of activists, myself included. In a government run on logic, justice, freedom and honesty, McCain would have of course been directing those comments to the lizard-faced Kissinger. But alas, those four tenets are about as absent from these hearings as youth and common sense.

Today, the Senate Armed Services Committee (@SASCMajority) invited three dinosaur war criminals to testify on our National Security Strategy: Madeleine Albright, George Shultz and Henry Kissinger.… Read the rest

David Petraeus Chased By Protesters On His Way to Teach Class at CUNY

You’re a war criminal!” several students shouted as Petraeus walked down the street.

Patraeus, who recently quit his position at the CIA, took a job at CUNY in what some believe was an attempt to fix his poor public image. Patraeus immediately faced scrutiny after it was revealed that he would be earning an annual salary of $200,000. In an attempt to quell his critics, Patraeus later agreed to work for only $1 per year.

“Every class, David!” other students yelled, alluding to more protests.

AP investigation alleges Michael Karkoc lied about his role in the second world war when emigrating to the US in 1949

A commander of a Nazi SS-led unit accused of torching villages filled with women and children lied to American immigration officials to get into the US and has been living in Minnesota since shortly after the second world war, according to evidence uncovered by Associated Press.

Michael Karkoc, 94, told US authorities in 1949 that he had performed no military service during the war, concealing his work as an officer and founding member of the SS-led Ukrainian Self Defence Legion and later as an officer in the SS Galician Division, according to records obtained by AP through a Freedom of Information Act request.
